Educational Scientific Laboratory “Big Data Based Decision Making In Organizational Systems”

Educational and scientific laboratory was created for the purpose of conducting fundamental and applied scientific researches in the field of decision making theory, in particular, on the basis of large data, solving of actual scientific problems of informatization of organizational and technical systems, providing educational process, attracting lecturers, doctoral students, postgraduates and students to solving scientific problems, introducing ideas of innovative and experimental work in the educational process.

The main tasks of the educational and scientific laboratory:

  • research and development of principles of construction and methods of designing decision support systems based on large data, under uncertainty and multicriteria;
  • development of modern information technologies for the design of complex systems based on platforms and technologies of cloud computing and processing technologies of large data;
  • research of efficiency and productivity of computing systems on the basis of virtualization technologies;
  • research and development of methods and tools for the automated management of the behavior of social groups in organizational systems;
  • development of information technologies in the tasks of geometric designing;
  • improvement of the methodology of system analysis and design of modern computerized business systems.

To perform the tasks, the laboratory carries out the following functions:

  1. Organization, coordination and conducting of scientific research on relevant topics, combining intellectual, financial and material and technical resources in carrying out scientific research;
  2. Introduction of scientific research results into production and educational process; participation in the international cooperation of the department, cooperation with domestic and foreign educational, scientific institutions and institutions of the relevant direction;
  3. Introduction of innovative technologies of practical training of students, development of creative initiative of students, their involvement in the scientific work of the department; organization on the basis of educational and scientific laboratory of scientific researches of masters and postgraduate students of the department;
  4. Participation in the development and implementation of sectoral, regional innovation projects and programs for the implementation of modern technologies, processes and products.
