A very interesting and unusual event took place today. The German-Ukrainian autumn school DAAD “Lessons in Biomedicine Learning from Nanotechnology and Artificial Intelligence”, which takes place in KNURE, according to the program, has moved to the Fat Goose pub!
It would seem that there may be something in common between the pub and the DAAD school, but it turned out that science can be discussed not only in the silence of university classrooms, but also in a noisy pub over a glass of fresh beer.
The Great Science at the Bar event, which is currently popular in the European scientific community, provides brief presentations by young scientists in the field of nanotechnology and artificial intelligence. This meeting is open to the public in order to promote scientific achievements. Probably, somebody of these young people will become a famous scientist, like the mathematician Stefan Banach, who with his colleagues wrote down his ideas and unsolved mathematical problems on napkins during his meetings at a Scottish cafe in Lviv.
It was an opportunity for pub visitors to join the science. Thank you to the Fat Goose Pub team for technical support, good beer, great food and a great atmosphere!
