On April 15, 2025, a round table meeting was held on the topic “The Use of Artificial Intelligence Tools in Teaching Disciplines in the Field of Information Technology” within the framework of the Wildau-Kharkiv IT Bridge (WKITB) project of the DAAD program “Digital Ukraine: Ensuring Academic Success in Crisis (2025)”. The event brought together teachers from different universities to discuss modern approaches to the implementation of artificial intelligence (AI) in the educational process. The report was delivered by Professor of the Department of Systems Engineering of NURE Yuriy Mishcheryakov. The meeting was held in a discussion format, and was attended by teachers from the Wildau Technical University of Applied Sciences and teachers from leading universities in Kharkiv, including NURE, NTU “KhPI”, NAU “Khayli”, KhNMU, Kharkov National University named after Karazin and others.
The discussion highlighted the range of problems and challenges faced by the higher education system due to the use of AI by students, with particular attention paid to the ethical aspects of the use of artificial intelligence in education and its impact on the educational process. The participants shared successful examples of the use of artificial intelligence, and also discussed the prospects for the development of this technology in higher education.
Colleagues from the Wildau University of Applied Sciences, Professor Markus Frome and Professor Alina Nechyporenko, shared their vision of this issue, and from the Ukrainian side, teachers from various universities shared their experience and exchanged views.
The discussion was quite interesting and useful.
As a result of the meeting, recommendations were prepared for the implementation of innovative solutions based on AI in curricula and to continue this topic at a future conference dedicated to the use of artificial intelligence in higher education.
