Education and Career
In 1983 he graduated from the Kharkov Institute of Radio Electronics specialty “ Applied Mathematics”.
The main place of work since 1978 to the present time is the Institute for Problems of Mechanical Engineering of NASU.
Ph.D. thesis is defended on October 18,1987.
Doctor of Sciences thesis iss defended on January 17, 2014, specialty 01.05.02 – mathematical modeling and computational methods.
As a senior research fellow, he work at IPMash NASU since 2013, the academic title of Senior Researcher was received on January 10, 2015.
Since 2015 he worked as part-time Senior Lecturer of the Department of system engineering.
Research activities
Directions of scientific activity: fundamental scientific research in the development of mathematical methods and algorithms for solving problems in the theory of geometric design, in particular, problems of placement and coverage for flat and spatial geometric objects. From 1983 to the present time he participated in nine research projects within the framework of state budget research at the Institute of Problems of Mechanical Engineering of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine (№№ 0193U020060, 0193U020061, 0190U009448, 0197U012281, 0198U007627, 0102U001480, 0107U003662, 0112U002488)as well as in an agreement with the State Committee for Science and Technology of Ukraine (Fund for Fundamental Research) No. 12.3 / 66.
International activity / participation in international projects
Participated in research work under the contract of the German Research Society (Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft) and NAS of Ukraine, grant TE 207/7, 436 UKR 113/42/0; contracts for the delivery of the program “Placement of any spatial shape into rectangular sheet”, 2005, and its development and maintenance with the TDM Solution SL, Premia de Mar, Spain, the contract between IPMash NASU and the Military Technical University (Warsaw, Poland), individual NATO grants (Warsaw, Poland); by the STCU grant (project 5710).
