Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

2025 is coming to an end, and with it the long-term international project Wildau Kharkiv IT Bridge (WKITB) of the DAAD program “Digital Ukraine: Ensuring Academic Success in Crisis”, which was implemented on the basis of the Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics, which united teachers from Kharkiv universities, is finalizing.

German colleagues were among the first to lend us a helping hand during the war. And we sincerely thank them for their partnership, support and joint work. The project was successfully implemented thanks to the joint work of representatives of the Wildau Technical University of Applied Sciences, Professors Markus Frome and Alina Nechyporenko, and the curator of the Ukrainian part of the project, Professor of NURE Igor Grebennik, who provided coordination and support at all stages of the work.

For four years, WKITB has become an important support for teachers of Kharkiv universities in the field of IT and opened new opportunities for students of IT specialties from all over the country, especially from the affected regions – Mariupol, Kherson, Zaporizhzhia, Mykolaiv and others. Thanks to this project, the availability of classes for a wide online audience was ensured, a publicly available digital platform with educational materials was created, and a video conference service was implemented for students from the Wildau Technical University.

So we say goodbye to the Wildau Kharkiv IT Bridge project, thank everyone involved, but, as they say: one door closes, and another opens, and we, the Faculty of Computer Science, open a new page in our cooperation with the Wildau Technical University of Applied Sciences. In 2025, a new project CoSMoS-NT was launched – the creation of a new joint bachelor’s degree program by the Wildau Technical University of Applied Sciences (THWi) and the Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics (NURE). The new program will be attended by students from Ukraine and Germany. Teaching will be provided by lecturers from the Faculty of Computer Science of NURE and the University of Wildau (Germany), which will ensure an international level of education and intercultural exchange. Therefore, we are waiting for applicants in the New Year 2026 for the new joint English-language educational program Applied Computer Science – Applied Computer Science – in the specialty F3 Computer Science within the framework of the DAAD CoSMoS-NT project. Join the new program to become part of the international community of future leaders in the field of IT!
