The Department of Computer Modeling and Intelligent Technologies (CMIT) has officially started the new academic year. Despite the extremely difficult challenges of today and martial law, this year’s admission campaign demonstrated incredible results, attracting many motivated young people to our academic family.
A real pride of this year was the successful recruitment for a new educational program — Applied Computer Science. This is a joint bachelor’s educational program of the Technical University of Applied Sciences Wildau, Germany (THWi) and the Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics (NURE).
The program was created within the framework of the prestigious international DAAD CoSMoS-NT project. The first group of first-year students (both budget and contract forms of study) were not afraid of either the novelty of the program or the teaching in English, because they saw in the new program an opportunity to integrate into the global IT space, obtain modern knowledge in English, and join international projects.
The traditional bachelor’s program “Computer Science and Technology” (CST) continues to be in great demand among applicants. This year, “Computer Science and Technology” has become a real leader in preferences, having accepted about 100 first-year students into its ranks!
The department’s teachers sincerely welcome the first-year students to the friendly academic community of CMIT! Despite the challenges of war, young people have proven that the desire for knowledge is stronger than any fear, and the determination to study in Ukraine is the best example of indomitability and faith in our common future.
